GLAAD is seeking to train and work with current undergraduate students as our Campus Ambassadors for the 2019-20 academic year. GLAAD Campus Ambassadors help build sustainable and inclusive programming for LGBTQ and ally university students and other youth, all while learning GLAAD’s best practices on leveraging media to create change.
GLAAD Campus Ambassadors contribute to GLAAD’s mission of accelerating acceptance for LGBTQ people by producing dynamic, educational media content relevant to the lived experiences of queer youth. Campus Ambassadors are crucial representatives for LGBTQ youth and, with support from GLAAD, can reach a national audience. Campus Ambassadors have been featured in publications and outlets such as Billboard, CNN, Huffington Post, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, Essence, MTV, Seventeen, Teen Vogue, them, Autostraddle, and more.

Additionally, Campus Ambassadors have played a fundamental role in the creation of sustainable and inclusive programming for youth. In the program’s first three years, these incredible students led campaigns to inform and engage students in LGBTQ-inclusive activism, created viral, educational content about LGBTQ pop culture and politics, and represented GLAAD at community events including the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, New York City Pride, and more.
